Look wot I shot today. Apparently, it's un martin-pecheur - ooh-er. I think Kingfisher sounds much better :) John had nipped out and left me in charge of the 'REAL' camera - not my cheapo point and shoot Samsung, but his hi-tech Pentax DSLR with a HUGE zoom lens!
We waited over an hour for this, having just missed it when we arrived and have been to the same place for three weeks on the run, hoping to see it. It was worth it, though and seeing it skimming the water was something to remember. I expected it to be bigger than this but it was still a privilege to see it and no less awe inspiring. I'm seriously impressed :)
I wonder if I'll ever be able to afford a camera like this one. I suppose I could, if I sold all my stamping gear... don't be daft!!!!!??

1 very much appreciated comments:

When (IF) you get a camera like John has can you come and shoot some photographs for me please? Love this photograph and I must go to see if I can find a kingfisher.
