Had to make a card for my youngest son – always difficult to do, as I usually buy a humorous card - and this is what I came up with.  I thought the time theme was appropriate.

I sponged the background with Distress inks – Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Broken China.  Looking at it now, I wish I’d added some white highlights – hindsight is a wonderful thing, lol.

Since this also fits the Challenge for Rosie D’s Challenge Blog (78 and sadly, the last ever challenge) it will also be my entry for them.  Thanks for the info, Sally.

Wonderful man card - what a great idea - I really want to 'crack' my 'phobia' of card making LOL

Love your fabulous art work - been looking but not left comments on each post cos have to limit my time in her.

My favourite is your shades of yellow card - its gorgeous and the way you have used so many different stamps - so original - no wonder it is so large.

Just taken a quick break from Bank Holiday visitors, so must dash

Hi Cath, your card for your son is perfect, I love the colour and the sentiment fits so well. The background is layered and interesting, I hope he appreciates all the time you spent..... I'm sure he will:D xxx

Love the colour. I'm sure your youngest will appreciate it. I'm the same as you, I normally end up buying humourous cards for the menfolk in my family. Anything to do with bangers usually keeps them amused. No wonder I am like I am haha Pxx

Thank you for your lovely comments left on my blog Cath, they are very much appreciated especially from such a tallented artist. I've just had a quick read of your blog, fab work... I think we have similar tastes in Tim's stuff.
I'm up to my eyes prepping my workshops for the Paradise Retreat that starts on Friday but I'll be back to read everything in detail. It will be the perfect wind down for me.

That is such a great car stamp. Oh tell me about it, you know how much I struggle with male themed cards. This card has great theme, background and composition. Lynne x
