I think I’m gaining a new respect for those of you who regularly have hot summers… we’re just not used to it in the UK!  I love it, but it does have its drawbacks in that it’s WAY too hot to stamp or even to play with paints!

I deliberately got up early this morning, so I could do a bit of stamping Smile

Try it on Tuesday’s current challenge it ‘Things with Wings’….

…and the Butterfly challenge has a colour wheel, with the letter ‘v’ for this month… butterflies, violet and vertical lines…

SSS Wednesday challenge is ‘Anything Goes’

Dare2bArtzy’s challenge is Bright Colours

Double D Challenges is also Butterflies

and

Moo Mania’s Challenge is Favourite Colours…

This is made with my favourite colour combo (turquoise, sky blue and violet oxides) and I’ve used Stampendous butterflies and one of my favourite Quietfire quotes.

FAV COL WINGS

Since I made the butterflies from snippets, I’d also  like to enter this into Pixie’s current  Snippets Challenge.

I’ve enjoyed stamping butterflies for a change Smile so here’s another one, this time a Paperartsy stamp.

COUNTS NOT MOMENTS

My thoughts turned to one of my favourite places when I was making this one…

MONTMARTRE

I’ve also been making ATCs on the theme of Friends/Friendship for a Tribute Swap to one of our longest standing members, who very recently passed away...

FRIENDS ATCS MG

My blogging program keeps changing font  Sad smile and my laptop is REALLY slow, plus my keyboard isn’t working properly - never has since an old friend of mine tipped a hot cup of tea all over it, but it’s worse some days than others and this is definitely one of them, so I’m using an external keyboard, which means I’m at an angle.   I’m beginning to think nothing in my house likes humidity.  Outside, one of my container tomato plants has actually scorched!  That’s one thing I really didn’t expect.

It’s a good job I REALLY like the sun…

I think I’d better stop there and come back when things cool down a bit… lol.

Thanks for looking

Back soon

Stay cool!

Cath

The weather is beautiful but life has to slow down to accommodate it. My computer is running so slow too. Sat in the garden under a shady bush with my iPad at the moment. Both of your butterfly cards are gorgeous. Love the colours combinations you have gone with and those butterflies have really caught my eye. Butterflies are plentiful in the garden . Just seen a small pretty brown one flutter by. Thankyou for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel with me this week. Hugs Mrs A.

Such beautiful makes! I love the turquoise, sky blue and violet oxides colour combo you chose and your amazing butterflies 😁. Wow, you have been busy and you art conjures up so many happy memories for me...your Montmartre piece reminds me of our travels to Paris and your wonderful ATCs remind me that I will be seeing some very dear friends next month too. Well Cath, what can I say other than you have been far more productive than me this week, apart from finishing y Chocolate Baroque samples for Tuesday I've done zilch in the way of inkiness. And I can't blame it not not being an early riser as I am usually up and about 6ish and fist job is always DT commenting but what have I done after that, a good question actually!

Each and every one of your creation is lovely, I too love the Montmarte area of Paris, watching the artists is always a pleasure. I am especially drawn to your fist card, a colour palette I always love working with and Butterflies goes without saying.

Have a good weekend.

My hat off to you for getting up early to get in some crafting. The cool colors that you used on your card should help the hot day. I adore that background with the butterflies fluttering over it. Thanks for joining with us in the Butterfly challenge at Double D.

A gorgeous selection of art projects. You have captured summer days on these pieces. I think we are all unused to the heat here in the UK, so we should enjoy it while it lasts, with our weather this has to be a bonus.
Thank you for adding to the new TioT's theme, we enjoying seeing what you are sharing with us there.

Beautiful art, cards and post Cath - you have been busy.
Gorgeous butterflies, quotes and colours and I do love the colour combo especially of your first piece.
I know what you mean about the weather - and just as I start to get use to it, it will be winter on its way :(
Sorry to hear about the keyboard probs. I have a sticky 'Y' and have to constantly check as I have wished someone a 'Happy New Ear' before.
And as for humidity - I really don't get it - our weather machine can show a low humidity but it feels sticky to me - duh???
Thanks for all your lovely comments you left on my blog and for all the fabulous pages you linked to AJJ this month - it's very much appreciated.
The songwriting comment made happy and smile - the list I kept this month of things I learnt and to check more about has 'The Waterboys' you mentioned to investigate ( not sure when - but I will).
Have a lovely weekend and keep cool if you can.

It might be hot but you've still been busy, fabulous cards Cath, love the colour combo on the first butterfly card, and it is a lovely quote. I like how you've combined the Moments text with the Paris stamp, and he ATCs are a lovely tribute to your friend.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and I hope the computer gets used to the heat - can't believe it's lasting this long!

They are all stunning Cath and I have enjoyed looking through your blog and beautiful creations very much. You have a lovely eye for colour and the colour combination on the first card is now on my to try list - it's stunning and it's got butterflies which is always a major winner for me.
The Montmarte area of Paris is too a favourite of mine, just so beautiful and seeing the work of the artists working there are the cherry on top, so to speak.
Your ATC is lovely, the colours and the theme just catch tthe eye and make you stop to look at it fully, very clever inking that is!

As for the weather we've had for the past week or so I'm not a lover of it as my joints swell and I don't feel like crafting or creating which in itself makes me grumpy lol! Autumn is the one thing I can say that I'm looking forward to as I prefer the cooler days and nights and can normally craft with not so many problems.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment on my blog. We don't get too many thatched cottages around where I live but I do love stamping gardens and landscapes a lot. It was nice to see that the card I thought was lovely was also loved by others lol! Have a lovely creative week, I hope you get some arts and crafts done along the way Karen x

Today has proved too hot for me and tomorrow I have mentioned the fires on Winter Hill as they are affecting me mentally - how can someone start a fire and someone else go and add to it?
Love your cards - especially the background and the butterflies in the first one.
Could I guess on your favourite place? Is it Paris, or just France?
Your atc 's are brilliant, just the ticket for the reason behind doing them. Love them. I must get a copy of all of them for my files.
Thanks for all the brilliant shares.
Hugs, Neet xx
(too hot, had to come in)
