Saturday 9 March 2019

There's a 'Close to Nature' challenge on Moo Mania and More challenges, so I made a very simple card, using Oxides and a few stamps. The tree trunks are Stampscapes. Maybe I should've added a rabbit... the words are from Simon Says Stamp, one of the items I chose when I won one of the challenges.

I seem to be using a lot of green at the moment, for some reason - maybe it's that hint of Spring that WAS in the air - it's now cold and very windy.

This card was just a play around with one of my favourite stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations - I have a feeling they were bought by another company, but I can't remember who - stamped in grey for distance and a bit of depth, then black, clear embossed, over a Birth Certificate text.

I've also been playing with this new Woodware stamp - not a lot you can do with a bunch of flowers, but I do have an idea in my head for one. I just stamped the first two on inky backgrounds, colouring with Prismacolor and/or Posca pens.

I do like the words I used, though 😁

Then a clearner and simpler one.

Id like to enter the following challenges :-

Make My Monday - New (stamps)

SSS Wednesday - Create a Scene (just a little one)

Dare 2B Artzy - Anything Goes

Last, but not least, a bit of journaling... both in my 8x8 Kraft Journal.
This one is using Dylusions paints and a bit of stencilling before stamping.

This one is simply ink stencilling over a gessoed page, with my lovely alphabet dies.

Thank you for visiting... and oh, I almost forgot to say I finally got my phone back on Thursday! Yay!

Hopefully, I'll be back soon

Good gracious Cath you have been a busy girl and clearly you're in a very green mood, not that its a bad thing as everything is really freshening up nicely now, we just need some sunshine. I seem to recognise the trees on the first card - either Clarity or Stampscapes?

Your art pieces are beautiful. I especially like the green ones. I think it's because I'm hoping Spring gets here soon where I live. This Winter has been cold.

So many cool pages and cards today Cath. I love the nature theme. And your colors today. Purple and green-what could be better? I think I need a bit of focus right now. But this week is almost over and I can move onto a new one which will hopefully be a little bit less crazy. And tomorrow, is an art day for me! I hope I have enough focus to make as much great art as you have here. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Cath. Hugs-Erika

Oh Cath I feel like i've walked through a gallery today, what lovely sights to see I've so enjoyed looking at them all. The theme is hard not to be green with Spring waiting to show it's head. I find it's a colour that appears on most of my creations even without the intention of using it hee hee!!
There's many possibilities with that woodware stamp, they have been my go to stamps when in need of a quick card. There's always something that ticks the box.
Wishing you a super Sunday Hugs Tracey xx

A whole post of gorgeousness but that first journal page is what caught my eye on Bloglovin' and I just love it. I love the Oxides, the tree stamps, the shrooms, and, of course, the words.
The next journal page using Dylusion paints is fab too and I do like the stencil you have used with the purple paint. Is it the stencil or is it the way you have used it? I can see it is a leaf type image but it is the way the edges are that caught my eye, kind of frondy!
Glad your phone has been repaired and is working - maybe now we can resume contact a bit more - again.
Hugs, Neet xx
