Have lots of fun!

This is a great challenge for this time of year, when so many flowers are in bloom, some on their way out until next year as the summer draws to a close. There are still 'riots of colour' to be enjoyed everywhere you look 😉 - for the time being at least.

My offering began life as a gelli print, made with pink, white and blue acrylics and a dotty stencil. I began by overstamping various text and graphic stamps in Versa Clair and Versafine inks, clear embossing them to seal over the acrylics. Then I played with 'that stamp' again...I really do love this VI bloom! This time I stamped it onto text paper from my stash, cut them out and drew in the drippy stems with a Posca pen, adding a few more spatters of black and white paint.

I'm playing in the More Mixed Media Challenge of ATG plus optional Bright colours.

Thanks for calling in today

Hope to see you soon

Cath

Oh Cath there's lots of intrigue and interest within your gelli print background, makes a great backdrop for that fab stamp.. It's wonderful when we find an image that can be used in so many ways. I have far too many stamps that have been one hit wonders.
I have so many things hiding in my garden.. this is a great challenge. Hope I get chance to play along when I get back to my creative station.

Oh Yes...'that stamp'! I do love it and expect that one day it will 'fall' into my basket somewhere! I love the way it stands out against the gelli print background - such a clever idea to use the text paper! Hugs, Chrisx

Beautiful card Cath. Nice background Gelli print. You are right. There are still so many beautiful blooms everywhere. Too bad it won't be all that long before those flowers disappear. But it's not yet so lets enjoy them. hugs-Erika

WOW, Cath. The layers and layers you created for this card make it have so much depth. I love how you started with a gelli print. I really MUST start using mine, even though I hate it. This is a beautiful representation of your garden and a great inspiration, too.

Think I have been so busy with other things that I have neglected my blog friends and I am hoping I have time to enter this challenge because your delightful card has inspired me. I love the way you have used text paper to stamp your image on - a really different look and it works so well.
I just wish I had your success rate with Gelli Prints, something I enjoy doing but rarely fall in love with when I have done them. This one, I would be more than happy with.
Hugs, Neet xx
