Hello bloggers!
I feel as if I've been away for weeks, but in reality it's less than one week. Every time I've set out to blog what I've been making, something has interrupted and I just haven't gone back to it.

I've just been playing with a new stamp I was fortunate enough to win as a prize from Allsorts a couple of weeks ago. It's a (very) large iris from Bee Crafty and some lovely words, too! You can see them on the card I made. Thank you very much all you lovely ladies over at Allsorts! So how could I not join the current 'Say it with Flowers' challenge?

I seem to have a 'thing' for pinks and purples and paler colours than usual - and I'm enjoying it. This one is just a smooshed background with my 'classic' design of (embossed) text and background stamp. I used mainly Oxides (Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender and Tattered  Rose) for both the background and the b/g stamping. It's a folded A4 card, so you can see how big the stamp is! I coloured it with Prismas.
I will probably link this one...it was the result of an enjoyable play time a couple of days ago. I used Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry on this one - smooshed - with a touch of Salty Ocean. It looks quite pale, though they're all strong colours. I used Prismas to colour and added a bit of stencilling to complete it, though it was okay without. I love these simple tulips. I noticed this morning that all of mine are growing well and I have a vase of them on my table. I love the colour variations in tulips.
I'm linking this to Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesay Challenge - something new or something old and loved, as well as to Allsorts, and to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Use a Stencil and Addicted to Stamps and More's Make your mark challenge, Tuesday Throwdown's Something New, and Stamping Sensations' Favourite StampS.

Thank you for calling in today

Morning Cath,

Two floral beauties here, you have achieve real depth of colour and atmosphere in the Iris card and the subtle stencilling is just right to draw the eye in. And the second is equally delightful and adore the colours and those funky blooms.

Thanks so much for sharing with us at Allsorts and joining in with our 'Say it with Flowers' theme this week.

That is a cool new stamp Cath. Irises are gorgeous flowers, aren't they? Your flowers make me happy since it is snowy morning here. Time for spring I think. Hope all is well and you had a good time away. Hugs-Erika

Love the new stamp Cath, and the darker coloured flower looks stunning on your background. The colours look so pretty on the tulip card.

I like both cards, the second one is definitely you. Love how you have done this background, the colours chosen are so good together and those tulips are perfect.
The huge card is gorgeous - I absolutely love the background stamp - is it just one or two? It's script and diamonds, two of my favourite things for backgrounds. The colouring on the iris is beautiful and I can see how much pleasure you got from using your pencils to colour it.
I really must email you, I feel so guilty in not having done it so it is top of my list now.
Hugs, Neet xx

Lovely florals with such pretty colours. I do like the botanical iris image, but the fantasy tulips on the second card win out mainly on their gorgeous blended colour tones.
