I spent around 2 hours working on one of these yesterday, watercolouring, then scratching out and I was really pleased with what I'd done. I then decided to wipe it over to get rid of the dust and didn't realise the sponge was as wet as it was. I smudged all the black (Versafine) ink and wiped off half the watercolouring, but I was very good, lol, I didn't swear. I came upstairs for another one, stamped it, took my paints downstairs and started again, but this one isn't anywhere near as good as the last one - typical....... I was in the middle of cooking and getting tired by this time - in fact, I almost burned the food...... sigh! The colours seemed to mute when I put the UTEE on, though - they were really vivid and I worked SO hard on the skin, which hardly shows up!! Maybe I won't spend quite so much time on the next one...........
To make things even worse, I've just noticed that I neglected to colour in the chain around his neck - grrrr!!!! I was going to do it with Krylon pen when I came upstairs but I forgot.......

One of these has been overstamped with a Stampendous crackle stamp, using Krylon Gold pen.
This one's much nicer in the flesh, though simple. The butterfly behind the text is done with Sparkle Gold mica powder. I'm almost sure I changed this after photographing it, though :( I did another one and clear embossed that - I like that but it hasn't photographed well and I've sent them off, now.

Just a few of the cards I made with the Penny Black Brushstrokes flowers I got for my birthday :) I stamped for a couple of hours on my birthday and made around 25 card fronts (and bookmarks) with these stamps and some Felt tip pens - all on Glossy card. Really quick, easy and enjoyable, but I think they look effective. Great for those last minute cards.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms this week, as I've had very little time to myself to be able to stamp - boohoo! I shouldn't complain, as - amongst other appointments - I've been out with some very nice people and had lots of fun for a few days, which has been really nice. I also received loads and loads of beautiful (and very varied in style) cards, which I'll upload somewhere as soon as I take them down.
I did, however, manage to buy a few new stamps on my birthday and stamped with them until 2.30am on my birthday - yay! I've made a few cards with what I did, but they're very simple, made with Penny Black flower stamps. I'll blog a few tomorrow when I hope to get some stamping in.

One of our lovely girls treated me to a new stamp at the last Stamp Club, so today I made a card on some Brilliance ink backgrounds on glossy card that I made last week. Love the stamp and enjoyed the playtime! It's really glimmery in real life and I've used some of my favourite colours, so it was pure self indulgence.
More to upload tomorrow.........
