…with a bit of orange/ochre
Two cards made with the same image and same backgrounds (Brilliance reinkers) but different coloured card bases – amazing what a difference a colour can make’
These are scraplings, made from card scraps. Shame you can’t see that lovely Pearlescent Brilliance ink.
This one’s Stazon inks
This week’s Ebay auctions are now coming to a close, so I’ll be uploading more this week. Thank you for all the interest.
Have a lovely week.

All Tim Holtz unmounted sheets are now sold but there are lots more bargains to be had, so don’t forget to keep your eyes on the DESTASH SALE and watch the Ebay listings. I’ve scanned more to add over there and there will be more….
This is a Birthday card for a certain special someone.
Saturday, 20 October 2012
I’m starting to list more stash on Ebay over this weekend and they will be removed from the FOR SALE pages as soon as anyone bids on them.
So, if you’re interested in anything, please do let me know ASAP.

This is my favourite technique and has been for about 14 years, so it’s my entry for the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge, which is ‘FAVOURITE’.
When staying with a friend, I promised her I’d show her how to do a Versamark resist, but we were so busy, we left it until near the end of my stay and, of course, events conspired to prevent us getting around to it.
I’ve just sent her a parcel with instructions and some samples.

More metal leafing and more journalling
12 very kind comments from lovely people at Monday, October 15, 2012On our Yahoo Group, there was a discussion about foil and metal leafing and it was such a long time since I’d played with either, that I did a few experiments.
1 Copper foil with Stamp ‘n’ Bond
2 Mixed colour leafing with Stamp ‘n’ Bond
3 Mixed colour leafing on d/s tape, with Mica powder on the image
I used the glue pad on this, but it didn’t work, so I added some mica powder. I hadn’t cleaned the stamp after using Versamark, so there was ink left on it, which may well have affected the result. Need to try this again.
4 Gold foil on Stamp ‘n’ Bond, but a you can see, I overstamped with Versamark
5 Today I tried copper leaf on glossy black card, using the Tsukineko Stamp ‘n’ Stick Glue Pad
The messy bits are both on the scanner glass and on the card – unfortunately, black glossy shows every tiny mark, including finger prints - despite being ‘polished’ afterwards. The leafing worked beautifully and easily. I love the way you can’t feel where the leafing begins and ends on gloss – very different from on matt card.
Here’s the latest journal page – final touches just added but it’s a continuation of yesterday’s work, which started as a double page spread but evolved.
I really love these ‘Off the Wall’ stamps, but I keep meaning to draw the images in my head – will do it one day …

This stamp no longer has a border, so it will be easier to work with next time.
I’ve started listing stuff on my FOR SALE pages and some of them are on Ebay. I need to add prices, too.
Can’t decide whether or not to put the rest on yet…

These fit several current challenges but were made for a KCUK tag swap – scraplings as accompaniment.
I love leaves – though had forgotten quite how much – and I also love autumn colours. I spent a blissful couple of hours stippling and stamping with Fluid chalks on the tags. I used Brilliance Galaxy Gold to overstamp and edged with Krylon pen.
The best thing of all about chalk inks, is that they’re permanent once heat set and will never fade, unlike Distress ink and Adirondacks, which I usually use. I’m veering more to permanent inks (and other mediums) at the moment because I want to be able to flick through my journals in a few years and see where I was up to now!
I used Adirondacks on the cards, with some stamping in Archival Sepia and, of course, some gold embossing, perfect for this time of year.
Then I got out the Brilliance ink, over Dylusions backgrounds, and made these.
Two more pages for the Journalling Mingle
and another card to accompany them, this time using Gold Leaf.
It’s far from perfect, but I actually like the imperfection and my Stamp’n’Bond is pretty old and lumpy! What I love most about Brilliance (which is also a pigment ink and therefore permanent) is the pearlescent watermark effect you get from the understamping, which only shows when you tilt the card.
Challenges I’d like to enter are:-
Try it on Tuesday – Autumn Colours
All Sorts Challenge Blog – Autumn Leaves and Trees
Fashionable Stamping Challenge – Shades of Autumn/Fall (thanks, Lynne)
and one I haven’t heard of before…
Visible Images – Inspired by Autumn

Firstly, here’s a silver card for this week’s Less is More challenge – not brilliant cos the ‘o’ almost disappeared but it’s silver embossing on white – always so elegant. Unfortunately, silver’s a nightmare to scan, as I’m sure you know.
Sadly, it’s a Sympathy card and so is this.
Both very simple, but apt.
My daughter-in-law’s Dad died suddenly last weekend, while on holiday – horrendous.
Also made a super quick Birthday card earlier this week.
Colours (and stamps – Stampman) were based on one Vix sent to me a couple of years ago – it’s very simple but I love the feel of it and it was quick and easy to make.
My journal pages for September are finally finished and I can start to think about the October ones – I’m finding it really difficult to stamp or create anything at the moment :-(
This is the one I made but wasn’t happy with… I did start to Gesso/white paint over the crossword bit but couldn’t be bothered and knew I had another sheet of card I’d sprayed at the same time, so I used that one instead. It may well still surface in my own journal.
This is the one I’ve just finished – and I even got the date wrong!
Both bright and bold – not exactly how I’m feeling right now. The Zetti image looks more like the current me.
Room destashing is well under way now and I’ve already sold some stamps and stuff on Ebay – sorry I didn’t tell you and there was some Tim H stuff… more to come (TH that is) and LOTS of stamps, but I may just put it on the For Sale page instead of using Ebay.
Have a lovely weekend :=)
