INKY FINGERS

Had a little play – two different days but same colours, which I hadn’t even realised :-(

Unfortunately, I blotted out the poor birdie’s face and beak with the leaves – oops!  This is a Triple Stamping sample for KCUK’s next challenge.  I plan to do some more tomorrow, but we’ll see whether I get there or not.

This is a little birthday card for a friend.  Still haven’t found my camera and my phone camera is playing up, so you’ll have to imagine the butterfly being 3D - sorry.

And finally, here’s a little photo of little Izzi – now 3 months old – where does time go?

This is the last month of our group Journalling mingle – not easy for me because I see journalling as something personal and private but I’ve really enjoyed seeing other people’s styles and watching them change with each month.

Here are my final pages – not many images on them…

The backgrounds are Neocolour (edited from Neopaque, sorry for the confusion, senior moment Neopaques are non metallic Lumières from Jacquard)– I had fun playing with these. There’s something special about playing with stamps and inks/colour inside when it’s snowing outside and the light from the snow is beautiful, despite the grey skies!

Hope they arrive today, despite any delays caused by snow and that they meet with my swap partner’s approval!

Am still considering restamping the heart frame (left of the image) on pale pink card and ‘paper piecing’ it or 3D-ing it… will see.

Crazy Amigos want to see Embossing folders, too, so here’s one I just finished.

I made this one yesterday (another folder and coloured with Neopaque) but I know it needs grounding on another colour after the pale pink.  I’ve tried a few colours but the only one I like is a pale aqua, yet there still seems to be something missing?  Any suggestions?  I’m wondering if it needs another bit of black, too…? Or maybe black is all it needs?  Might try that next…

We had a little snow yesterday – very little and soon washed away by rain, but it was pretty while it lasted.

WINTER is the challenge at KCUK.

This time inspired by my Christmas card from Mum, all the way from NZ.  I really liked the main design of Mum’s card, though I took it a step further and embossed the image with holographic embossing powder.

Yep, I’m definitely in a purple mood.

The challenge at Artful Times is to use a minimum of 2 Embossing Folders (I think…) and I’ve been playing with my dies and folders…..so here’s my attempt.

I think you can clearly see that I’ve used three different folders.  It’s also 3D but of course I can’t scan that and I still can’t find my camera… serious search on horizon!
