Birthday card and Crafty Individuals
18 very kind comments from lovely people at Tuesday, December 04, 2012A very special friend of mine celebrates her birthday today and here’s the card I sent her.
I’ve used the interference inks again but this time over black embossing on black card.
The rest is painted with Neocolours.
Here’s a photo of the b/g – a bit blurred but it shows the effects of the green, blue and violet inks.
BLOG CANDY!
Crafty Individuals have just brought out a new line of stamps and to celebrate, have some brilliant Blog Candy available on their Blog. Go see and sign up as a Follower while there – well worth it for the inspiration!

Trees, trees and more trees…
23 very kind comments from lovely people at Saturday, December 01, 2012I love trees and skies and have been playing a little with inks and stamps. Sunsets at this time of year are particularly stunning and especially after a clear day such as those we’re having at the moment.
This one was made after watching one of the Stampscapes videos on You tube
A scrapling in pink and black …
… and aged poppies.
The poppies are a mask, not stamps –I love poppies but why do they lend themselves so well to ageing?
I used Brilliance inks and love the effect. Here’s a close up of the crackle effect.
See you soon!

Been playing…
The scanner doesn’t show this clearly because I used interference ink and pearl embossing powders, so here’s a photo to try to show a bit of the effect.
Love this stamp so much it may yet go on sale again….
the background is alcohol inks.
This one’s alcohol inks on acetate (a la Nancy Curry) and is one of
my all time favourite stamps – it’s DL size and I had to trim the image because it’s big!
This was a Birthday card for a friend.
I have more to post but they’ll wait until another day.
I didn’t realise that ‘Anything French’ is the theme over at the Craft Room Challenge, but it is!
See you soon.

My ninth set of pages for the journalling mingle. Hopefully, they’ll have arrived by now.
When I’d finished my pages, I suddenly realised that the one on the right was the wrong size – I’d obviously worked on one of the offcuts, rather than the pieces cut to size – oops! I knew it would take me ages if I did another page, so I trimmed the rest of it and matted it onto black, then did the same to the other one to match. I quite like the way her feet go off the edge – not intended – I was going to cut them off. Serendipitous?
I sent a simple ard to accompany them.
Sorry I’m not blogging much lately – even when I do make something, my heart isn’t in it at the moment – too much to think about right now…
Thanks for bearing with me.

… is PINK this week and so are we.
I’m a Grandma – YAY!
My lovely daughter-in-law gave birth to the gorgeous little Isabella Grace at 1.52am on 7th November - and yes, she is beautiful and I’m besotted :-)
I made a couple of cards earlier in the week.
I was going to edit the last one because there are scanner marks on it – I need to clean my scanner again… might just have to try Jo’s trick of using acetate on it!
Finally, there’s some great Blog Candy available here, as soon as they reach 400 followers! I’ll be putting a link in the Sidebar but for now, here’s one, with a photo…
Wow!
Be back soon, but for now am going to make something girly… it’s such a pleasure to be able to say that xxx

Some quick birthday cards…
I owe the inspiration for this one to Sally, who does the most amazing scenic work.
… and another couple of scraplings

…with a bit of orange/ochre
Two cards made with the same image and same backgrounds (Brilliance reinkers) but different coloured card bases – amazing what a difference a colour can make’
These are scraplings, made from card scraps. Shame you can’t see that lovely Pearlescent Brilliance ink.
This one’s Stazon inks
This week’s Ebay auctions are now coming to a close, so I’ll be uploading more this week. Thank you for all the interest.
Have a lovely week.

All Tim Holtz unmounted sheets are now sold but there are lots more bargains to be had, so don’t forget to keep your eyes on the DESTASH SALE and watch the Ebay listings. I’ve scanned more to add over there and there will be more….
This is a Birthday card for a certain special someone.
Saturday, 20 October 2012
I’m starting to list more stash on Ebay over this weekend and they will be removed from the FOR SALE pages as soon as anyone bids on them.
So, if you’re interested in anything, please do let me know ASAP.

This is my favourite technique and has been for about 14 years, so it’s my entry for the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge, which is ‘FAVOURITE’.
When staying with a friend, I promised her I’d show her how to do a Versamark resist, but we were so busy, we left it until near the end of my stay and, of course, events conspired to prevent us getting around to it.
I’ve just sent her a parcel with instructions and some samples.
