Just jumping in to join in the Art Journal Journey Challenge, which is collage and recycle.
I always think I don’t collage much at all, but I do use a lot of torn pages, so I think that counts
I’ve also used bits of old images I have in my ‘cut image’ basket, so I’ve definitely recycled… the girl is from an old Claudine Helmuth stamp and was already a bit spattered with ink.
It’s a (deliberately) simple page – just gesso, oxides and a bit of stamping, then some journaling around the edges, as per usual… oh, and a bit of sprinkled gold embossing powder.
The theme is love – love beyond measure.
Thanks for looking
See you soon

This is an awesome page - I love the white space for the eye to rest and the fantastic composition and colours! Very artsy Cath! Thank you very much for yet another fantastic entry linked to Art Journal Journey ! Happy weekend! Hugs, Susi
I also just jumped into the challenge wondering if my page actually “fit” with the word “collage”. But since I do tear and cut some things, also add others by “sticking” them, and mostly with encouragement from others, here I am! I absolutely love your piece, and the fact that I relate to the theme is a bonus. We all are going through this life often feeling measured at times. Well done, evocative of emotion!
I love the colours and white space! It's a fab page Cath!

I love your page!
I think your beautiful journal page perfectly fits the Art Journal Journey challenge. I love how bold you are using so much white space. It definitely works and makes the focal image pop. I think it's adorable. We are so glad you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
A lovely page Cath and I love the simplicity of the layout. I'm just getting into journaling and I love this style.

Fabulous page! Really love the simplicity! Chrisx
A wonderful journal page Cath, I love how you’ve put all the elements together.

This reminds me so much of Finnabair's journalling style which I have seen at CHA (can't get used to calling it Creativation). Love the white space, love the border you have put around the page, at first I thought you had done some stitching. The splashes of colour are perfect and I love the drip you have taken down which leads the eye to the collage and image.
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs, Neet xx
