Because the current Try it on Tuesday challenge is to 'Use a Stencil or Two' I challenged myself to create a couple of cards with no stamps - only stencils. I almost chose this as the current KCUK 'Mingle' because I knew it would make people laugh. I'm the one who always insists that all swaps and mingles must have some stamping on them somewhere! I opted for something else, but I may yet do that... I wanted to drag myself away from just using a little stencilling to a background to break it up a bit and add interest.
I haven't made anything with this, but I'll show it anyway - it was just a play with using two stencils together. I don't like it much but I'm sure it would work better with stencil paste. Life got in the way, so I didn't get back to play some more with the idea...but I did add a bit of text stamping afterwards!
This is just very basic stencilling, with die cuts …
You still have another week to enter the Try it on Tuesday challenge - Use a Stencil or Two...or more! We'd love to see you there and I look forward to visiting your blogs 😉

WOW Cath you have been busy - love the colours of your DT card with the black silhouette flowers, so bright and cheerful. Like you I've always included stamping on my cards, but with some of the new dies, especially the wild flower stems, they seem to take centre stage and just need a good background.
Love the mauve stencilled flower, gorgeous.

what a great paste stenciled partial brick wall you created as background for your lovely silhouette black stem and sentiment - all of your stenciling projects are lovely here! thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil!
It's amazing how late I am visiting. My apologies, dear Cath. When I saw that you would not be using stamps, I thought you were actually going to create something like I make. No such luck. You couldn't prove it by me that these were not stamps, especially the adorable birthday cards. Simply stunning, dear.
Also beautiful is your journal entry that worked out perfectly because it matched Wendy's theme at Art Journal Journey. Lovely and so much texture, too. Thanks for joining us.
What beautiful makes! All the stencilled designs are so inspiring and I love your journal page with the stencilled pearlescent embossing paste 😁. The little girl and sentiment is perfect too! Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊 x
Looks like you had lots of fun stencilling! Love your brick wall, such a great background for the silhouette flower and sentiment. Thankyou for playing along at CAS Stencil, Cathy x
You are certainly back on a roll and it is good to see so many lovely cards produced by your fair hands. I love the idea of using nothing but stencils - must give that a try but I doubt I would come up with anything like you did.
Love them all, especially the one where you have made the centre of the flower deeper - great use of two stencils to get that effect on the petals. Pure genius.

Oooh, there are some real beauties on in this post. I love the journal page and the words are just perfect with that sweet image. The dimension that you've achieved looks terrific too x
