Our first challenge of 2019 at TIOT is a lovely way to start the  year.

Something Old or Something New; use something you may have not used for a while or something that is new and has never been used… with a few words about what you’ve used and whether it’s old or new.

I chose to use a new set of stamps in my new 8”x8” Kraft Journal. I love these stamps, designed by Andrea Ockey Parr and this is my third set so far. I bought them from Inky Antics but you can also get them from Simon Says Stamp.

Firstly, I (roughly) added some gesso, then used Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron Oxides for the background colour and random stamping. I used Posca paint pens to colour her hair, dress and crown. The random stitching is from the same stamp set, as are the incomplete circles and most of the words. The imperfect splat words are from another set and the ‘She alters everything she touches and everything she touches alters her' stamp is from Stamp Camp. Random bits of personal journalling in Signo white pen.

 TIOT NEW CATH

I should have printed the words I wanted but don’t (yet) have…’If the crown fits, wear it…!’

Please pop over to the TIOT Blog to be inspired by what the rest of the Design Team have made … I do hope you’ll join us for this challenge – it would be lovely to see you there. You have two weeks to take part, so no excuses Winking smile

There’s also a Something New Challenge at SSS Mondays, so I’m pleased to be able to link to that and Use Stitching is the theme at the Alphabet Challenge.

I’m also (reliably) informed that this fits the Geometric Shapes challenge at Art Journal Journey, though it seems to be a very tenuous link to me, even if the journal is square, lol. Thank you, Susi Winking smile

Thanks for visiting

The colour combination and the artsy layering of the stamps - it's such a beautiful page and I can tell you that it would also fit GEOMETIRUC SHAPES at AJJ again as there are many circles triangles and the whole journal is a square ...lol! Why not linking to AJJ also?!

Have a great week teamie!
Happy Try It On Tuesday! I hope we have much fun this year at the challenge blog again!

Hugs, Susi

First, I have to agree with Susi. This perfectly fits the challenge theme at Art Journal Journey. Even Bleubeard agrees! You can't possibly believe this is only a tenuous link when all three of us moderators agree it is a perfect entry for AJJ. Thanks for sharing it, and thanks to Susi for suggesting it, since I am so late visiting.

BTW, i love the colors of the background, the random stamping, and the new beauty, too. She's a princess in waiting.

Thanks so much for supporting my crafty efforts. You have done me proud here and I'm honored that you spend your hard-earned money on one of my stamps.
