Every now and again I like to challenge myself to make CAS cards - I do love them but they do require a totally different mindset. Mine is normally a 'slap on the colour and see what happens' mindset (well, not quite always)… When doing black and white, I need to change the way I think... almost as if I'm using the other side of my brain, if that makes sense? CAS isn't quite so challenging but it's still a challenge.
I noticed that the new challenge over at Addicted to CAS was birds, so I thought I'd have a go, so here's my CAS bird.

These are lovely. Nice, crisp, clean and simple artwork.
What gorgeous cards Kath, but I can't agree about the B&W and C&S, nothing is harder than C&S, this strikes terror into my heart lol. I love how you've faded out the stencilling on your C&S card, it gives such a gently effect. Your black and white is a stunner too, did you know there's a black and white/ b&w plus 1 challenge over at Country View Crafts and your card would be perfect there. Have a very happy week, Sue xx
Two awesome CAS cards, the bird looks great on the kraft card base.

The bird card is very sweet. I like the little bird in the corner and bricks behind it. It makes a big impact on the page. Happy new week-again cah. Hugs-Erika

CAS cards are very challenging but have started making a few I am happy with lol
Both beautiful cards but I do love the first one and the kraft looks perfect with the touch of stencilling

Love this cute bird with that background - so perfectly CAS and gorgeous! Thanks for sharing at ATCAS!
Two very nice cards Cath - but I do like the one with the bird on. Such a cute little chubby bird too. I think you were right to choose the Kraft card for the backing, it blends so well with the brickwork you have used through your stencil.
hugs, Neet xx
