While hunting for some poppy stamps (of which I’m woefully short…) I came across these vintage stamps and decided to make a vintage page in my journal for Art Journal Journey’s Vintage/Modern challenge.
These poor little stamps haven’t seen ink for about 10 years but I loved them when I did a lot of vintage stuff. I love the photo stamp because I live in an old mining village and they look like old miners to me, with their flat caps.
I used Distress Inks for the background and some of the stamping, with Archival Sepia and Versafine Onyx Black.
So, today I’m thankful for Memories… but was warning myself to focus on the good ones… the ones that are good for me
I’m also linking to AEDM, Lisa’s Art Every Day Month throughout November.
Thanks for looking

Fabulous vintage tag Cath, yes they do look a bit like miners, both my grandfathers were Welsh miners.
Oh Cath! This is a glorious vintage page. I love those images you found. They work so well together. :) But I love finding old stamps that have saat unloved for quite awhile. It's like buying something new without spending money. Thanks for joining in at AJJ again. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
An awesome vintage page and those stamps look great. It just proves we should store stamps and when rediscovered they seem new when we use them again.
